adidas Stan Smith Mylo: Mushroom prop fabrication and set dressing
Prop fabrication and set dressing for an adidas Stan Smith Mylo campaign, including a chair-sized mushroom for the shoot.
Role & Scope
Contribution
- Mushroom-inspired prop fabrication
- Physical development from supplied concept art
- Set dressing for the shoot
This portfolio includes work by James Allen Wright before WRIGHT DESIGN llc was incorporated.

Choosing materials for the scale and schedule
The brief called for a chair-sized mushroom on a tight schedule. Although 3D printing was considered, the scale and available time led to a build using polystyrene foam and soft foam clay.
Working from supplied concept art
The fabrication began with concept art supplied by adidas. The form evolved during sculpting, and real mushrooms were added to the final structure.
