anicom Holdings' headquarters was designed as an office experience tracing the history of communication, using cave paintings, clay tablets, papyrus, stone, a glass meeting table and display props.
Product Design
Furniture concepts based on pets as family members, developed into contemporary designs for initial production.
Concept / Product Design
Concept and product design with anicom, exploring furniture for different cat breeds. Ideas included thrones and a miniature Resolute Desk with a built-in couch, followed by contemporary designs for initial production.

Independent Film / 2019
Production / Effects Consultation / Casting
Production and casting in Japan, effects consultation and previsualisation support for an international feature film.
Early planning considered stadium scans and crowd effects alongside the use of match footage. The film tells the story of Japan’s historic rugby victory.
Commercial / 2019
VFX Consultation / Pyrotechnics
VFX consultation and on-set fire effects for a Mastercard Rugby World Cup commercial.
Work with Australian production company Milkmoney.tv and Bento-labs included consultation on origami-inspired graphic VFX and the final fire effect.
Ad Campaign / 2020
Mycelium Prop Fabrication / Set Dressing
An oversized mushroom prop and set dressing for the Mylo advertising campaign.
The brief called for a mushroom the size of a chair. It was sculpted in foam and foam clay from supplied concept art, with real mushrooms added to the final prop.
Theme Park Concept / 2018
Theme Park Concept / Icon Design
World-building and icon design for a theme park concept exploring history, myth and ancient civilisations.
A personal learning project developed through lessons with former Disney Imagineer Luc Steadman, later proposed for a park in Chiba. The plans progressed no further.
Temporary Outdoor Café / 2015
Spatial Concept / Art Direction
Spatial concept and art direction for a temporary, pet-friendly outdoor café in Shinjuku.
A one-year café on a site of over 700 square metres, with trailers, a deck and a dog run. James Wright directed the logo and magazine; Takahashi T. designed them.
