For Overseas Product Teams

What design support
does your product need?

You may be preparing to introduce an existing product, developing a new concept or deciding what to prototype. Tell us what you are planning in Japan and where you need design input.

Work can focus on a product concept, a review of existing designs or a prototype plan. We agree on the questions, deliverables and scope before starting.

Discuss your project in Japan

What we can discuss

Bring your product concept and current design proposals. We can discuss how clearly they express the product’s features and what to revisit before launch.

02 / Brand identity

Adapt the design while keeping your brand identity

Share your brand’s visual identity and plans for Japan. We can discuss what should stay consistent and where the product or its presentation could be adapted.

03 / Before production

Set a direction before packaging or web design

Discuss the audience, the message and any visual references or early ideas. We can review the design priorities before you brief your production team.

Who We Work With

Design advice alongside
your existing team.

You can bring an existing product, design proposal or unfinished brief. We work with business leaders and product teams to define the design questions and agree on what to address.

We can advise alongside your in-house team or existing production partners. Businesses in Japan, agencies and teams developing brands or spaces are also welcome.

design reviews and prototype planning.

We agree on the scope to suit your brief and the team already in place.

Review existing designs against your brief. Compare proposals, discuss how clearly they express the product concept and identify what needs further work.

Possible scopeEarly-stage reviews, comparison of design options, and advice on creative direction

03 / Development

Plan how to prototype the idea

Discuss what a prototype needs to show, how it could be made and what design work is needed first. Our advice draws on experience in product design and fabrication.

Working Together

Start with the question
you are trying to answer.

After your enquiry, we discuss the brief and propose a scope and process for your project.

  1. Share the context

Tell us about your product, your plans for Japan, the design question, timing and the team involved. You do not need a finished brief.

  2. Agree on the scope

Agree on the questions to address, the deliverables and the process: for example, concept development, a design review or prototype planning.

  3. Explore and review

Develop the agreed concepts or review the design proposals, then discuss the options with your team.

  4. Define what comes next

Review the work together and discuss any further design development, prototyping or production support.

Before You Get In Touch

Questions before we begin

Can we talk before the brief is fully defined?

Yes. Share what you are considering and where you are uncertain. We can discuss the support needed to shape the initial concept and clarify the design questions.

Can you advise a team that is already doing the design?

Yes. You can approach us for concept or design reviews while continuing with your internal team or existing production partners. We agree on the scope around your brief and available materials.

Does the project have to be about entering Japan?

No. We also welcome projects from businesses, agencies, production teams, and space operators in Japan. Tell us about the product, brand, or experience you are developing.
